about

A Longing For Interspecies Companionship is a six track meditation exploring the connections between ecosystems, human life, and the digital world. The recordings of this record came from visual artist/animator Colin Mosely’s MA Thesis Exhibition of the same name. Mosely’s art focuses on the entanglements and interdependence of human life and the natural world. The title of the record and Colin’s was inspired by the work of Donna Haraway whose work focuses on post-humanism, environmentalism, & feminist theory.

Heroic Dose is the duo of Seth Andrew Davis on electric guitar & electronics & Dylan Ward on saxophone. Heroic Dose presents original music which incorporates electronic processing, free improvisation and graphic notation. A Longing For Interspecies Companionship is the debut record of Heroic Dose
