Tacet is the debut album from the quartet Asker featuring Alexander Adams (drums), Seth Andrew Davis (electro-acoustic guitar), Kevin Cheli (drums, vibraphone, & percussion), and Reid Karris (prepared guitar & percussion).

This record was recorded and constructed remotely. The group resides in various parts of the country with Karris & Adams in Chicago, Davis in Kansas City, Mo, and Cheli in Ithaca, NY. Various members of the band had recorded and collaborated in various projects before and have been featured on previous Mother Brain releases.
