Brad Whiteley and Michael Eaton began their musical relationship in Bloomington, Indiana in 2004. After relocating to New York City to pursue music careers, they resumed playing as a duo as well as in Eaton's quartet Individuation.

Whiteley can be heard on Eaton's two albums for Destiny Records, "Individuation" (2014) and "Dialogical" (2019), and Eaton plays on Whiteley's quintet album "Presence" (2019), also on Destiny.

This album documents their duo rapport for the first time in a studio setting.
