Video Game Space Zoo is the fourth album by Kansas City based composer Christopher Jacob Frisbie under his electronic music making psuedonym BEAT$LORD DI$CGOLF. Video Game Space Zoo is their second release with Mother Brain Records.

A departure from their previous plunderphonic works, Video Game Space Zoo is an odd time signature-laden, synthesizer-driven concept album about the liminal idea of exploring the pantheon of space - through the futuristic guise of militant capitalism through the lens of an alternate reality.

It's as if Oneohtrix Point Never collaborated with Hawkwind to write an electronic space-prog album, or if King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard wanted to hyperrealIize EDM.

Video Game Space Zoo is a modern homage to the infectious Italo Disco - an offshoot of Euro Disco, where amateur underground composers would create melody-driven music underneath groovy syncopated dance beats - using only synthesizers and their best ear for good music making. Italo Disco is one of BEAT$LORD DI$CGOLF'S favorite genres of music, and a formative inspiration to their creating of electronic music.
